Christmas Presents

so, about 2 years ago i really wanted an xbox 360 for Christmas. I never got it.
and I asked for one again last year and, big surprise, I never got it.
Finally I realized that I wouldn't be getting an xbox for Christmas, so rather than asking for one again this Christmas, i used some of the money that I saved up since I got my job and I bought one myself.
So, though i never got one for Christmas, like I wanted, I ended up getting one anyway, so I'm pretty happy.

Texas

I'm going to Texas on the 11th because it's my grandfather's 80th birthday.
I'm so excited. We're actually doing a lot of cool things.
On Thursday, after we fly down there, we're going to see a band called the B-52's in concert. That's pretty cool, just cause i grew up listening to them. Then on Friday we're going to Katy, Texas to see a replica of all of the Terra-cotta soldiers. and then on Saturday we're going to Houston to go to some kind of festival. and on Sunday we're having this HUGE, formal party for him. it'll be really fun.

"little girl why are you crying, just because the flowers in your garden are dying?

there's so much that you could be doing"
-Kate Nash.
I love this lyric so much.
It speaks to me in so many ways. It's saying
"don't sit and cry just because somethings going wrong, you could fix it if you tried"
and more often than not, people just sit back and watch everything go wrong instead of at least trying to fix it.
It makes me so mad when people are like that.
They expect others to listen to their sad stories and feel bad for them when really, they did nothing to avoid the situation, or at least help it in any way.
No, I will not feel any sympathy for you if you dont try and help yourself.

The Deathly Hallows

I'm totally gonna nerd out on Harry Potter right now.
I can't wait for the 7th movie to come out. I know I'm going to cry so bad. I just want to cry when I see the trailers for it.
and It's not like it's sad, even though it is, but it's just like the movies are coming to an end, and I've grown up with Harry Potter. Like I can seriously quote the entire first movie with a british accent.
I'm going to be really angry if they don't do this movie by the books, like if it's anything like the 4th movie, where they left over half of the good parts out, I will be seriously mad!

blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting

to me, this quote means that "good" people can give without expecting any in return, and take something without forgetting who gave it to them and appreciating that.
I believe that everyone is out to better themselves, so I don't really know if I believe that it is possible to be like that. But I do believe that that is what the quote is trying to say.
