Names

I was thinking about it and the meanings of names are really cool.
For example, my name means "Hay Meadow" along with "Ingenious" and "Clever"
I just think it's awesome how each name has it's own "definition"
and a lot of times, the definitions go along with the persons personality

cooking

I'm so happy when I cook.
I love it. Cooking is probably my favorite thing to do ever.
It's like, when I'm putting a meal together, everything else is drowned out.
I forget about everything else except what I'm cooking right at that point in time.
It's like an escape for me.
I cannot wait till I graduate, so I can go to Culinary school.
I'm going for Culinary Management, so that way I learn the things like learning how to properly plate food. But I also will learn the ins and outs of managing my own kitchen. which is what I'd love to do with my life.
I would love to manage have my own kitchen.

Song Lyrics

I love finding song lyrics that describe my mood perfectly.
When I'm angry, I listen to songs that are angry, for the lyrics. cause chances are I'll relate to them.
and when I'm upset, I listen to sad songs. and so on and so forth.
and at this point in time the lyrics that describe my feelings perfectly are

and as depressing as those lyrics are. and as bad as they sound. they actually make me feel better!

I hate how everyone dislikes Lady Gaga  because of the things that she stands for.
she stands for equal treatment of all people, and in my opinion... that's a great thing to stand for.
In her song Born This Way she says "I'm beautiful in my way, cause God makes no mistakes"
and isn't that what most church-goers say? that God made you the way you are, and he makes no mistakes? If so, then why are they the first to bash her?
It just doesn't make sense how people can be so small minded.

When I'm stressed

I eat.
A lot.
I will eat anything, and everything.
But, I also exercise when I'm stressed, so I eat my weight in food, then burn off all of those calories.

the perfect personality

in my opinion, the perfect personality is someone who knows when to be serious,  but still has a sense of humor.
someone who can act their age when needed.
someone who has an infectious laugh. you know, one of the ones where they start laughing, and eventually everyone around them laughs as well.
someone who is compassionate.
someone who can appreciate the little things in life.
someone who can stop and appreciate beauty when they see it.
someone who realizes that everyone is different, and therefore tries their best not to judge.
someone who can tell right from wrong.
someone who cares about the people around them and would do anything to make them happy.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of old music, like, not old in terms of being from the 60's or anything.
But music that I used to listen to when I was in the 6th grade.
I mean, that was back in the time when good music was still being made, like
Hellogoodbye, and Brand New, and Taking Back Sunday, and Bright Eyes.
Back when music was about pleasing the fans, not about how many records you could sell.
Not about how much money you'd make off of one single.
I wish music was still like that today, however, now it's about the money, not feelings.

Intervention

this new thing they're doing with intervention doesn't really make much sense to me.
If you're making below a 55% don't you think you should be working with your teacher?
Instead, they're letting the kids who aren't failing as bad work with the teachers, and they're making the kids who are failing hardcore sit in a room with their laptops, ipods, cell phones, with very little adult supervision.
It just seems more logical to have the kids who aren't failing as much be sitting in the "study session" and letting the kids who are failing worse work one on one with the teachers.
I do, however, like the new thing they're doing with the Early Release Fridays.
I don't think kids who have below average grades should be rewarded. I'm glad they're making the kids who have D's stay behind too. I mean sure, that's more kids that don't get out, but that's also more kids who have a better chance at raising their grades, and that's also a better way to motivate kids to actually pass. Because I know a lot of kids who are just like "Oh, I'll raise my grade from an F to a D, that way I can get out this Friday and then end up still doing badly in that class.

school

I don't know if I'm going here next year or not. I'm considering transferring schools due to the fact that  I'm not looking forward to the new schedule next year...
We've had block scheduling the past 3 years, and I don't do well with change. So I probably won't do well at apollo next year.

Snowy weather

It's crazy. I have a friend who got snowed in down in TEXAS.
I was talking to him last night and he was on his way back to Owensboro from Arizona and he got stuck in the snow in Texas. He was supposed to be back in town tonight, but he's having to stay there for a couple days in a hotel.
He said it was supposed to be -15 degrees today. that's crazy to me, cause typically it's nice in Texas. even in the winter

I'm so glad the packers won the superbowl.
typically I hate football and any sport really, besides tennis and soccer.
but i actually got into the superbowl last night.
It was pretty good.
The commercials weren't very good this year though, and the black eyed peas were terrible.

something I've learned from an older person

I've learned that you cant give up.
My grandparents have taught me that if you have a dream, and that dream fails. Get a new dream.
because as long as you keep trying, that's reward enough.
I feel rewarded just by having the strength to carry on, and if I get let down, I don't let it phase me. I take that let down, and I grow from it. I don't give up and I don't cry about it. I realize that it's ONE let down, and people get let down on a daily basis, so one let down shouldn't get to you.

some people just don't understand things they say.

I've seen people say things that are SO mean, it's ridiculous.
they don't understand that what they're saying is mean, and they think it's okay and that actually makes it worse than being knowingly mean in my opinion.
I hate the way that people treat others.

I'm too nice

and people I work with take advantage of it. It sucks kind of because any time someone asks me to work for them, I can't say no. So sometimes I'll end up working 6 or 7 days a week because I literally cannot say no. 

Like, on Friday I was supposed to work 5-10 but I ended up staying and closing for a guy that I work with because he asked me to and I couldn't say no, 

and then on saturday we were SO busy, I was supposed to work 12-8, because I always ask to work 12-8 on saturdays cause I love working 12-8. anyway, we were so busy and someone called in, so I ended up staying 12-9. 

Snow Days

I don't understand why people are complaining about all the snow days we're having. I mean. Yes, we will be in school until June, but at least we're getting a little bit of a break right now.
I'd almost rather have a break from January to march, than from June to August.
Just because it would be less driving in the snow that I'd have to do, less freezing my butt off having to walk home some days.
And yes, we'd have to be in school when it was nice outside, but I'd almost rather it be that way. It wouldn't really bother me that much.

Awkward

I hate that awkward phase before you start dating someone, you know, the one where you're not sure whether you guys are just friends, or more than friends, or whether or not you guys are gonna date.
It's just awkward and it causes trouble.

Last year went by in a blur.
There isn't any point in reflecting on it, because I couldn't remember half of it if you asked me to.
There wasn't really anything worth remembering.
Hopefully this year will be better.
